Will someone please turn off the faucet?

Our sweet Becca has a bona fide cold. It's not teething this time. Her nose is a constantly dripping faucet and she hates having it wiped. She's even coughing a little. We had quite a rough day. Nathan and I had to use the nasal aspirator on her before bed so she could breathe better--ugh, not our favorite thing, or hers either. Pray that God would heal her soon, and that in the meantime, we would do our best to serve our little girl and do all we can to make her comfortable.

Baptism Pictures

Because we are not able to get new pictures up at the gallery, I have posted a few pictures from Becca's baptism over at our family blog site. I plan on trying to put a few recent pictures up there soon. I have to go feed Becca right after I finish this post, so there's no time now.

I'm far past due on a Becca update. I think I forgot to write when she turned seven months and now eight months too. I will write on that soon.

For my own sake, I'm going to list posts I want to make in the near future:
1. How to Read the Psalms book
2. Maclaren stroller
3. Becca update
4. Hummus

That's all I can think of for now.

Book Review

I recently finished reading How to Read the Psalms by Tremper Longman III. I had picked it up again after reading Psalm 16 one day during my worship time with God and being able to relate to what the Psalmist was praying. Longman's book opened up the Psalms to me as something I can relate to and pray in times of happiness, sadness, fear, loneliness, and confusion--really, in all times.

Baptism and teething

Our little Becca is being baptized tomorrow. I'm too tired to write much about it now and I need to be well rested for tomorrow, but we are very excited to have her baptized. And a bit overwhelmed at the great responsiblility it includes. Praise God for His promises.

Our poor, sweet daughter is teething right now. I think three or four are coming in all at once. It started last Sunday and it's been a rough week. She has been sleeping well during the night, but during the day she will hardly let me put her down. She had a fever at the beginning of the week and has had yucky diapers (worse than normal) all week. We actually have been using disposables because it's been so smelly. I know you wanted to know that. :) I have been giving Becca the Hyland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets and those seem to work. I found them at Whole Foods (and Walgreen's had them too). She seemed to be in a lot of pain today and wouldn't take even a cold washcloth, so I gave her a little bit of infant Tylenol. I hope she does okay tomorrow.

Sweater Pictures

These are the best I have. I haven't taken any of just the sweater yet, but I may. It's way cuter on her anyway. :)

Speaking of pictures, there will be a slight delay in getting up the Becca's Seventh Month of pictures due to one of the hard drives crashing on Colossus (Nate's mammoth computer). The hard drive had whatever Nate uses to put the pictures on our website. We hope they will be up by the time we are ready to put the eighth month ones up.

Finished

I finished knitting my first sweater. It was for Becca. I used a pink/gray/white variegated yarn. It's hard to explain since the colors are spunt together, but it varies with how much gray or white or what shade of pink is being used at the time. I used the Easy Peasy Cardigan pattern, I purchased here. It has yet to have buttons, but it works fine without them since such a stretchy fit. I was tempted to try it after I saw Serina finished hers for Ellery. I'll post pictures soon.
